In the latest gimmick to bolster Sydney real estate sales and prices, a real estate agent from Richardson and Wrench will auction five properties at a Painters & Dockers gig at a Marrickville venue this afternoon.
As The Australian reports, Aris Dendrinos will auction five properties at 4pm today at the Factory Theatre, while the iconic Melbourne rockers soundcheck for their first Sydney show in 20 years tonight.
Dendrinos explains, "There’s a lot of psychology at play around an auction and if you create the right atmosphere and energise the crowd that can be to the benefit of all the properties."
Those attending will be entered into the a draw to win two tickets to the a show at the Factory Theatre in the coming months.

The unique event marks a solution to the issues real estate agents face in accommodating for crowds at auction events, many of which are for apartments. Auctions are at an all-time high in Sydney and Melbourne, with over 30 percent of properties being auctioned off compared to a historic 21 percent, according to the Real Estate Institutes of NSW and Victoria.
Painters & Dockers have not released an album since 1998's Advance Australia Where?, and are in Sydney for this one-off Sydney show with Brissy band Ups & Downs joining them tonight.
