With the National Indigenous Music Awards fast approaching in Darwin, the MCs hosting the night's festivities have been announced — SBS and National Indigenous TV (NITV) presenter and journalist Malarndirri McCarthy along with cabaret comedian Kamahi Djordon King will be leading the evening's proceedings.
Performing on the night — this Saturday, 25 July — will be the incomparable Frank Yamma, the premiere performance of The Genesis Project by East Journey and Yothu Yindi, Northern Territory six-piece B2M (Bathurst To Melville) and The Painted Ladies — the latter of whom will also have a documentary about the band screened on NITV on Wednesday, 1 July.
