The British blues icon will branch out for a pair of headline shows in April
Octogenarian blues legend John Mayall is proving that he's still got it, taking the time to stage two Bluesfest sideshows when he's in the country for the annual festival next year.
The still-vital Mayall will hit Sydney's Factory Theatre on Thursday, April 2, before heading northwards to Brisbane for a show at the Powerhouse Theatre on Sunday, April 5.
His performances come more than five decades into his storied career, a period that has seen the venerated troubadour release more than 60 albums, the most recent of which was his 2013 80th-birthday celebration A Special Life. You'd be well advised to get on board when he touches down Down Under in 2015.
