Popular acts to hit the stage at this year's event.
Ahead of next month's Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards, some of Australia's best new and emerging talent have been announced to perform live at the event.
Leading the way is Brisbane band and recently announced Soundwave 2016 act, Dead Letter Circus who will hit the stage at North Melbourne's Meat Market on Thursday 22 October.
A diverse array of Australian independent artists will join the alt rock group as performers on the night which include fellow Brisbane singer Airling, indigenous songwriter Frank Yamma, Adelaide indie act Bad//Dreems and recent BIGSOUND artist, Harts.
Bad//Dreems and Frank Yamma have another reason to celebrate on the night as they will head to the event as nominees.

While Bad//Dreems are in the running for the Best independent Single Or EP award for their acclaimed single, Cuffed & Collared, Yamma will be hoping to walk away with the Best Independent Country Album gong for his 2014 offering, Uncle.
More announcements are expected to be made in the coming weeks leading up to the prestigious ceremony.
