But that indie heart makes sure the real people behind these songs are never overshadowed by their digital exoskeleton. Discovering a strange, but surprisingly effective, balance between hard rock and hypnotic drones, Better Nature is a singular record that takes a little getting used to. While the dedication to this hybrid is a little limiting, once you're in the groove of these songs and this sound, Silversun Pickups have made a record that's easy to get lost in.
