Greg Fleet: The Boy That Cried Sober

In what could be billed as a sequel to his well-known show Ten Years In A Long-Sleeved Shirt, Greg Fleet's latest show The Boy Who Cried Sober reflects on the impact drugs have had on his life.

While Ten Years was about his recovery from being a heroin addict, which it turns out was a lie as he was still very much using, this show reflects on the lies, and looks at how he managed, or didn't manage, through it all.

While the audience could easily think that what they are hearing this time around could also be all fictional bravado, the honesty in Fleet's performance tells us otherwise. And in his thoughtful honesty there is humour and somehow we are laughing with him through stories that would otherwise be tragic.
