Album Review: Blind Guardian - Beyond The Red Mirror

If you haven’t listened to fantasy power-metal heroes Blind Guardian yet, do it!

Beyond The Red Mirror is a sequel to 1995’s Imaginations From The Other Side. It’s out of control. Like your metal with orchestras? Have two, and chuck 90 members in each while you’re at it. How about choirs? Have three. What’s power metal without laser-guided precision and machine-gun tempos? Boom. It’s all here. Is it some sort of epic Tolkien-esque musical? I think so. Is it one of the most technically accomplished metal records of the last few years? Damn straight.
