Album Review: Big Boi - Boomiverse

The implication is that luckily Big Boi has such great taste in beats because his raps aren't that good. It's unfair. Scottie Pippen couldn't help coming through in Jordan's team. In any case there's plenty of stunning Big Boi achievements here. All Night is glorious, comparable to D.R.A.M.'s Cash Machine in sunniness. Kill Jill is the lead track, a Tarantino-inflected mini-epic. Freakanomics, though, is the pull track and the album's best, a messy, catchy sex jam. It is also further proof that Big Boi has great taste in beats.
