You Might Recognise A Certain Metal Band On The Newest 'Game Of Thrones'

As if you weren't already waiting for the next Game Of Thrones episode to wander out into the wilderness, here's an even better reason to get yourself home quick-smart and cosy yourself up in front of your chosen viewing device — Atlanta metal band Mastodon will feature in the show's latest episode, Hardhome. 

The quartet are rabid Game Of Thrones fans and were personally invited to star on the show as wildlings, flown over to Belfast, Northern Ireland to shoot the scenes, which we'll be very careful not to spoil. 

Mastodon's Brann Dailor says, "It was such an incredible experience to be on set as extras for our collective favourite show Game Of Thrones … It made me love being in Mastodon even more. We are more than privileged and honoured to have been a part of one of the greatest stories ever told on film, and the catering wasn't bad either."

The band also feature on the Game Of Thrones mixtape — Catch The Throne: The Mixtape, Vol. 2, featuring an original song for the show called White Walker.
