Too cold to go see some live music? ‘Hot Toddies’ are giving you no excuse…
Beloved Brisbane venue The Triffid has been braving the cold and reigniting the local live scene with an intimate winter warmer series, 'Hot Toddies', featuring free weekly acoustic sets to spotlight the city’s vast emerging talent.
Cranking up the heaters and cracking out the blankets, The Triffid garden has already cosied up with acts such as The Jensens, Full Flower Moon Band, Radium Dolls, Melaleuca and more this winter and is set to host the series’ finale with Pipin, Hollie Joy and Toilets Wizard this Thursday, July 14.
The dog and family-friendly event will kick off at 5pm as the kitchen opens its doors with music ready to go from 6pm. So if a Hot Toddy or maybe an Irish Coffee and some free live music sounds up your alley, you can check out the event here.
But The Triffid's winter festivities are not ending there with this year's Sonic Masala Fest creeping up just around the corner on August 13. Celebrating nearly a decade of existence, the adored music festival will be open to all ages, as well as four-legged friends, with a jam-packed local line-up and all proceeds being donated to 4ZZZ.
