Simple Minds will head Down Under next year as part of their 40th anniversary concert series.
The Scottish rock group, who are best-known for their hit Don't You (Forget About Me), have announced the Australian run of their 40 Years Of Hit tour, which will include a stint of shows with A Day On The Green as well as headline arena shows.
"It's been said that Simple Minds has a love affair with Australia and I think that’s true," said frontman Jim Kerr.
"I cannot tell you how much fun we had during that six-week period,” he said of the group's first-ever Australian shows in 1981.
"Going from nobodies to overnight success due to our appearance on Countdown. People were screaming for us to play encores. We’ve always had a wonderful bond with Australian audiences.”
