Next Friday (21 July), you can add Stack Is The New Black to your growing vinyl collection via UNFD. Stack Is The New Black will be released on exclusive 12” vinyl in 2 colour variants - pink/black smash, pictured above, and a light blue, strictly limited to 600 copies each. You can pre-order your copy here.

Stack Is The New Black is certified Gold in Australia and hit #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart upon its release in 2009 and landed Channel V's Oz Artist of the Year in 2008.

Bassist Andy Clemmensen said in a 2009 interview with Kill Your Stereo – at a time when fans of rock and heavier music despised Short Stack, “Don't let other people’s opinions on us change yours. If you like our music, then enjoy it. If you don't like our music, don't listen, it’s that simple.”

Two weeks ago, Short Stack dropped their new single, Shotgun Wedding, which proved that pop-punk is alive and well in the hands of the Aussie trio.

“We wanted to write a really fun, 90s pop punk song influenced by the bands we grew up listening to," vocalist Shaun Diviney said in a statement.

Citing the bands, he added, "blink-182, NOFX, Good Charlotte kind of vibes. We really wanted it to be fast and energetic; I love Bradie’s drums just powering through the whole song.” 

Shotgun Wedding arrived a few months before Short Stack’s upcoming Regional(ish) Australian tour with Hevenshe and The Beautiful Monument, starting in Chelsea Heights in early October. Check out all the tour dates below.
