The punk trio bring their ferocious live show Down Under
New Jersey underground punk act Screaming Females have announced their debut Australia tour, along with an exclusive Australian Tour edition of their sixth full-length album, Rose Mountain.
The blistering trio — Marissa Paternoster (guitar/vocals), Michael Abbate (bass) and Jarrett Dougherty (drums) — recently celebrated their ten-year anniversary as a band. Since 2005, they have notched up over 1000 shows in the northern hemisphere, sharing stages alongside the likes of Dinosaur Jr, Garbage, The Dead Weather.
Their ferocious, critically acclaimed live performances are not to be missed. Paternoster’s vocals have been likened to the howl of Sleater-Kinney's Corin Tucker, while her guitar work has seen her named in SPIN Magazine’s Top 100 Guitarists Of All Time.
Screaming Females play Brisbane's Crowbar (4 August), Melbourne's The Curtin (6 August), Ballarat's The Eastern (7 August — door sales only), Canberra's The Phoenix (11 August — door sales only), Wollongong's Rad (12 August) and Sydney's Oxford Art Factory (13 August).
