Ross Wilson Releases His First New Music In 13 Years, Shares 'She's Stuck On Facebook All The Time' EP

Australian rock music icon Ross Wilson has returned with his first new music in a long 13 years. His new EP, She’s Stuck On Facebook All The Time, is not only relatable to many of us living in this modern age but contains four ripping new tracks.

“It’s definitely overdue,” Wilson said about his first new release since his 2010 album, I Come In Peace. “I’m really happy with these tracks – they show who I am and how I sound right now.”

The four tracks on She’s Stuck On Facebook All The Time, of course, tackle “the curse of the modern age” – lamenting not getting any with your partner because they’re addicted to social media – living in a world with destructive leaders (Desolation Blues), but music is there for us and providing the soundtrack we need: it’s like hearing “John Lee Hooker on the stereo,” according to Wilson.

Elsewhere, Wilson is in self-deprecating fashion on No Fool Quite Like Me and tells a tale of the suburban dream gone wrong on Housewife In A Floral Dress.

This morning, Kevin Borich revealed that Wilson will make a guest appearance on his new album, Duets, as a singer and on the harp. Wilson is in fine company on Duets, featuring on a tracklist alongside Tim Rogers, Leo Sayer, Ian Moss, Angry Anderson, Suzi DeMarchi, the Eagles’ Joe Walsh, Ella Hooper and many more.

Wilson also features in Songwriters Speak: Conversations About Creating Music, an Australian music lover’s bible, which is finally back in print after 15 years. Originally released in 2005, Debbie Kruger’s iconic book was re-released on Thursday, 1 June. 

This July and August, Wilson will perform at the music festivals Birdsville Big Red Bash and Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash alongside headliners ICEHOUSE, The Angels, Hoodoo Gurus, Kate Ceberano, Pete Murray, The Waifs and many more.

Both festivals have dog-friendly camping and concert areas and children aged 11 and under can attend for free. You can find more information here.
