American DJ, producer, musician and singer Porter Robinson has finally announced his first Australian tour in six years.

Touching down under to our shores in November, the electronic music star is touring in support of his latest album, Nurture, which was named the top album of 2021 on lists published by The Fader and Our Culture.

The Look At The Sky star will play shows at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena. In addition to the headline shows, Robinson will appear at this year’s This That festival in Sandstone Point, Queensland, and Newcastle, New South Wales. You can find all the dates below.

Pre-sale tickets from Robinson’s website go on sale on Tuesday, 25 July, at 11 am AEST, followed by a WhatsLively pre-sale on Wednesday, 26 July, from 10 am AEST, and TEG Live, Ticketek and the venues hosting pre-sales on Thursday, 27 July, at 10 am AEST.

The general ticket sale will commence on Friday, 28 July, at 10 am AEST via Ticketek. Australia’s own jamesjamesjames will join Robinson in Sydney and Melbourne.

“TEG is delighted to bring genre-defying producer and songwriter Porter Robinson to Australia this November,” TEG CEO Geoff Johns said in a press release. “Porter’s Nurture Live tour has been impressing fans across the globe, which included a main stage Coachella set at this year’s festival. We are incredibly excited to be bringing this show to his Australian fans – they are in for a treat.”

Nurture is the second full-length album from the North Carolina artist, followed by Worlds, released in 2014. Robinson shared the Virtual Self EP under the alias Virtual Self in 2017.

Upon Robinson’s last visit to Australia with Madeon in February 2017, The Music reviewer called the artist’s Riverstage show “pure magic”, while Matt O’Neill, attending the Hordern Pavilion show, wrote: “In honesty, it shouldn't have worked at all. It was too huge. Too loud. Too ridiculous. But, somehow, it struck to the heart of what so many artists strive for in massive arena shows (but rarely manage): a truly transcendental experience.”
