The icon will talk, read and sing for one show only
Ahead of her appearance at Bluesfest this year to play seminal album Horses in full, Patti Smith has announced a rare solo show at the Sydney Opera House in which she'll talk, read and sing from her critically acclaimed and lauded body of work.
With 13 LPs, artworks, poetry, books and a memoir to ruminate upon, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee's appearance will be part of Sydney Opera House's Talks & Ideas program.
She'll also discuss her friendship with renowned photographer Robert Mapplethorpe as well as her most recent book, M Train.
Patti Smith: In Her Own Words will be held on 23 April, just a few days after Bluesfest wraps up on 17 April. She and her band will also perform Horses in full at a number of shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
