Outback Trails To Return In 2024, First Musical Act Announced

Queensland Music Trails’ epic nine-day experience, Outback Trails, will return in April 2024 and today announces its first live music act: Sunshine Coast country singer Tori Forsyth.

From 13 - 21 April 2024, music, food, and Queensland’s outback will be on display for a multitude of unforgettable experiences. More music acts and must-see destinations will be announced early next year.

Tori Forsyth is fresh off releasing her latest single, Sometimes, featuring Shane Nicholson. The woozy track finds Forsyth and Nicholson sharing vocal duties, with Countrytown praising her wilting warble complimenting Nicholson’s harmonising vocals. Nicholson gives Forsyth space to hold the spotlight – the gorgeous song from the young singer uplifted by its collaborative spirit.

Forsyth said about her appearance at the Outback Trails, “I am absolutely thrilled to be getting out to South West Queensland on the Outback Trail in April. I have many fond memories of our outback; the people are so welcoming and fun! I can’t wait to perform and get to see the sights and smiles in the crowd! It's gonna be a good one!”

Daryl Raven, COO of Queensland Music Festival, added, “Thanks to the support from the Queensland Government, our Trails created so many incredible moments and lifetime memories for locals and visitors throughout the state this year… something which we can’t wait to do again with the return of the Outback Trail in 2024!”

Next year’s event also sees the partnership between Queensland Music Trails and THL, who have joined forces to offer the Best of the West QLD Outback Giveaway. The lucky winner will take home a nine-day holiday valued at over $10,000 – apply for your chance to win here.

Tori Forsyth’s set at this year’s Groundwater Country Music Festival wasn’t just one of the most anticipated shows of the weekend but one that delivered. Countrytown’s Jess Martyn summarised, “With a great blend of slower country songs and high-energy dancing tunes, Tori had something for everyone (including the line dancing enthusiasts) and a sound that carried all the way down the street.”
