They'll show off their 2012 record for fans in May
On the back of their 2012 record Advaitic Songs, Californian doom metal slash ambient rocking act OM have announced five big dates across the country, keen to show off their imaginative tunes and detailed arrangements with fans from Perth to Sydney.
With a repertoire including three studio albums and countless singles and EPs on labels such as Holy Mountain, Southern Land and Sub Pop, the duo of vocalist and bassist Al Cisneros and drummer Chris Hakius brought their respective own band experiences together to create their own distinct sound – achieving Mojo Underground Album of the Year in 2007 for Pilgrimage.
Emil Amos replaced Hakius for their fourth album, 2009's God is Good, and the duo continued with the most recent offering, Advaitic Songs, which saw Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe – or Lichens – join the band full-time.
The latter record brags a more progressive and focused sound to date, reaffirming their individuality in the genre.
