It’s been a decent little while since we last heard from Ocean Grove, with their last release coming all the way back in April 2022 – but rest assured, the boys have spent the past two years cooking up some absolute fire, and have finally gifted us a new tune to froth over.
The new single, FLY AWAY, is described by Dale Tanner as “a return to our sonic roots and the definitive OG sound”, with the Ocean Grove frontman saying in a press release that it “primes the new era of Ocean Grove with a hard and heavy edge”, thanks in no short part to “an injection of fresh energy and experimentation”.

FLY AWAY comes alongside the news that Ocean Grove have launched their very own record label, ODDWORLD Records, through which they’ll release their upcoming fourth album in Australia and New Zealand. For their movements outside the domestic market, though, they’ve linked up with SharpTone Records.
“We’re very pumped to be joining the SharpTone Records family,” Tanner said. “We feel more ready than ever to represent a label of their calibre and are so grateful for their confidence in us. In return, we hope to bring a fresh and unique sound to their roster as they take The Oddworld global.”

Ocean Grove are yet to formally announce their fourth studio album, but it’s expected to arrive sometime before the year’s end. It’ll follow up on 2022’s Up In The Air Forever, which earned a four-star review from writer Lili Jean Berry. In it, she wrote: “I can see this record having an impact on a broader audience and seeing them jump into a more mainstream channel which will open many, many doors. I want the world for this band so here's hoping!”
