Morgan Evans Announces Intimate Australian Shows And First-Ever Vinyl Release

Morgan Evans is heading back to Australia this October for two very intimate, fan-only performances and for the first time ever, he’s pressing one of his most iconic shows to vinyl.

The award-winning country artist has announced two exclusive gigs in celebration of his upcoming limited-edition vinyl release: Live at the Sydney Opera House, recorded during his 2023 Life Upside Down tour. These shows will take place on October 13 in Newcastle, Evans’ hometown, and October 15 in Sydney. 

But don’t expect a standard concert. These are invite-only acoustic sets, with just 100 fans attending each night.

“Performing two nights at the Opera House was a highpoint in my career, and while you can already stream this performance, we will finally be releasing the vinyl,” Evans shared.

“To celebrate, I’m going to be playing two intimate little fan-only shows; one in my hometown of Newcastle and one in Sydney. Come have a Beer Back Home with me and hear me preview new music, just me and a guitar…”

To score an invite, fans simply need to pre-order the limited edition vinyl through Evans’ official store. Each purchase equals one entry into the draw, with 100 winners chosen at random for each show.

This release marks a milestone for Evans: it’s the first time he’s ever released a live recording on vinyl, and the format is as special as the music itself. Pressed on tile white vinyl and signed by Evans, this will be a single-run only, so once it’s gone, it’s gone.

“This vinyl is very special to me… it is an extremely limited single run, each signed and printed on tile white vinyl,” he said. “It was an absolute honour, and a joy, to play the shows at the Sydney Opera House. Playing that place is probably a momentous occasion for anyone, but for an Aussie, it's the one.”

In addition to the music, every vinyl order includes a 12-inch art card signed by Evans, making it a collector’s piece for longtime fans. Orders are expected to ship from September 30, aiming to land in mailboxes around release day.
