The singer-songwriter will release her new album early next year.
Venerated singer-songwriter Mia Dyson is returning to the fore with new single Gambling and an accompanying eponymous tour in support of the fresh cut.
The tune previews Dyson's forthcoming studio full-length, her first such venture since 2014's acclaimed Idyllwild, which is set to land in early 2018.
"The thought of choosing to be vulnerable is scary before I act on it," she said of the new single in a statement. "And, being vulnerable is the most fulfilling way I have found to live.
"Gambling is a reminder that this moment is the chance to either live life on life’s terms, or to let the chance for an experience slip away in positive or negative fantasy."

The album was recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and produced by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes, St Paul & The Broken Bones). Dyson was joined for the sessions by drummer Erin 'Syd' Sidney, Alabama legend David Hood (bass) and backing vocalist John Paul White (The Civil Wars).
The LA-based Australian musician was already tapped to return to our shores for a run of festival shows in a couple of months' time, including events such as the Inland Sea Of Sound Festival in Bathurst, Maitland's Bitter & Twisted Festival and the annual Queenscliff Music Festival, and has now beefed up that visit with a string of headline shows in the east and south throughout November and December.
Those stops include locales such as Albury, Balnarring, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Brunswick Heads, Melbourne and Oakleigh, where she'll finish up the tour with a show at The Caravan Club on Saturday 16 December.
