Metro Boomin Cancels Listen Out 24 Hours Before Show
Metro Boomin's replacement act was announced just hours after he pulled out of the festival.

Bad news out of Listen Out, as American producer and DJ Metro Boomin has pulled out of the festival just 24 hours before the event was due to take place. He’s cancelled his Australian appearances due to personal reasons.
Metro Boomin is one of the biggest artists in the world and has been a mainstay on Australian radio with his track Creepin’ featuring The Weeknd and 21 Savage. His 2022 album, Heroes & Villains, debuted at #5 in Australia upon its release.
Issuing a statement about his departure on social media last night (22 September), Listen Out promoters wrote, “We are sad to report that Metro Boomin has postponed his Australian tour for personal reasons.”
Metro Boomin added, “To my fans in Australia, I’m deeply sorry to tell you I have had to call off my Australia/NZ tour starting this weekend. If you’re one of my true fans & you’ve been following my socials I hope you will understand. Please accept my heartfelt apologies”.
Listen Out’s statement continued, “We can confirm that all other Listen Out / In artists (including Lil Uzi Vert, Ice Spice, Skrillex etc) are in Australia ready to play for you.
“We will also be announcing an additional Australian hip-hop act shortly*.”

Proving that someone at Listen Out likely reads through unimpressed Reddit threads, organisers added in the comments, “*Not Hilltop Hoods”.
Just hours after reporting that Metro Boomin was out, Listen Out organisers revealed his Australian replacement act: ONEFOUR.
“OneFour is playing at Listen Out,” organisers wrote on Instagram. “Australia’s most talked-about, ARIA nominated hip-hop act, they’re also highly regarded in the UK rap scene, winning praise from Central Cee, Dave & Skepta and collaborating on tracks with Stormzy, AJ Tracey & Headie One. Please make them welcome!”
Listen Out kicks off today in Brisbane, before heading to Perth (24 September), Melbourne (29 September), and Sydney (30 September).
