Laneway Festival Reveals Set Times

Laneway Festival organisers have revealed the set times and stages for the event that's under three weeks away.

Dubbing this year's edition as the best line-up ever, Laneway has added Hockey Dad to the Brisbane and Sydney events, with Julia Jacklin heading to Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. View the timetables below.

Regrettably, Baltimore's hyped-up hardcore band, Turnstile, will no longer perform in Sydney and Brisbane due to a scheduling conflict with the Grammy Awards. The five-piece have been nominated for three Grammys, including Best Rock Performance for Holiday, Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Song for Blackout.

Turnstile’s Melbourne and Sydney sideshow dates have moved and upgraded to even bigger venues (Forum and Enmore Theatre), and they've added a brand-new show at Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall. Existing opt-in Laneway ticket holders from Brisbane and Sydney will get first access to the pre-sale starting tomorrow at 10 am local time; check your email for access. Gates will open at 11:30 am in all cities. Some social media users have already reported clashes, such as headliners HAIM and buzzy Fred again.. in Melbourne, Hockey Dad already playing at the same time as 100 gecs and Phoebe Bridgers in Sydney, Julia Jacklin and Girl In Red in Brisbane, and Phoebe Bridgers and Turnstile clashing in Melbourne.

Last week, it was announced that Slowthai, Logic 1000, Tasman Keith, and The Beths will host a series of workshops and talks to provide an intimate experience for industry folks and emerging artists to learn from some of the best and biggest names in global music. Headline Acts will also host workshops in Auckland's East St. Hall on January 31st, with Turnstile leading the charge on the Aoteroa leg of the series.  

Last month, Laneway Festival announced its additions to the 2023 line-up in an expansion that will change the lives of those added to the event.

The festival has added this year's triple j Unearthed winners, all picked to open the Laneway stage in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth.

In Adelaide, six-piece post-punk group Coldwave will warm things up for fans waiting to see Yard Act and Fontaines D.C. Alternative indie-pop artist Felivand is opening proceedings at Laneway Festival Brisbane, bringing a blend of soul, R&B and pop to the stage. 

Sydney artist Abby Bella May brings a BENEE energy to her new track, Peace, with a touch of Mallrat - who is playing at Laneway - in her brand of pop music. May has been touring all year, performing at festivals like Lost Paradise and Yours & Owls. 

Nigerian-born, Australian-raised artist PRICIE has a rich, soulful voice that's irresistible when you play her music - listen to her new song, U, U And Only You. Her natural talent has led to a collaboration with Genesis Owusu on Friendzone. Catch her perform in Melbourne. Lastly, country grunge artist Siobhan Cotchin is opening Laneway Festival in Perth.  

The triple j Unearthed winners join a line-up led by Joji, Fred Again..., Phoebe Bridgers, Finneas, The Beths, Yard Act, Slowthai, Turnstile, 100 Gecs, Girl In Red, Chaos In The CBD, Knucks, Ross From Friends, HAIM and Logic 1000.

Locally it also features the incredible Adam Newling, The Backseat Lovers, Harvey Sutherland, Jacotene, jamesjamesjames, Sycco, Tasman Keith and The Lazy Eyes.
