The Brooklyn outfit will land Down Under for a whirlwind visit in January
Genre-hopping US outfit Lake Street Dive have expanded their impending Australian visit with a handful of additional tour dates in early January.
Following their appearance at the upcoming Woodford Folk Festival, the band will round out 2016 in Byron Bay at the Soul St NYE celebrations before traversing the country to join in the New Year's fun at Fremantle Arts Centre for its concert event on 1 January 2017.
From there, they take time for headline shows at The Gov, in Adelaide, and Melbourne's Howler, finishing up the Australian leg of their tour — they've also got shows lined up in New Zealand while they're in the region — at the Summer Of Soul event in Moss Vale.
Lake Street Dive will hit local shores in the wake of warmly received new album Side Pony, which was released via Warner/Nonesuch earlier this year. They only made their debut appearance in the country last year, too, so the excitement levels at having the chance to catch the band in action again already are understandably pretty high.

With local appearances at esteemed events such as WOMAD, Secret Garden Festival, Port Fairy Festival, Perth Festival, Enlighten Canberra and more already under their belts, the Brooklyn-based quartet are all set to further cement their love affair with local audiences at the end of this year and early next.
If you want to get in on the fun, tickets for all shows are available now (Fremantle and Adelaide via The Gov, Melbourne via Howler).
