What better to do at the tail end of the year than go to a Drum and Bass festival with your mates? For all the South Australians out there, the newest event, Our Sound Festival, has you covered.
This summer, Our Sound Festival aims to debut with a single-day, double-stage event at Bonython Park on Saturday, December 7. Brought to life by organisers Groove Events, the festival is set to feature some of Australia’s most coveted (and meme’d) headliners with Pendulum and Luude, marking their second appearance in South Australia this year. Also featuring on the bill will be a series of Adelaidean DnB artists, such as The Patch, V O E, and The Collective, amongst several other soon-to-be-announced acts.
Pendulum’s DJ set comes after the duo’s sold-out shows in March at Gluttony’s open-air venue, The Fantail, while Luude’s April performance with Chase & Status at Hindley Street Music Hall also sold out within hours.
According to Groove Events Director Daniel Michael, this line-up reflects a dedication to supporting local and international talent in the DnB scene:
“Drum and bass fans, myself included, have remained loyal, enthused, and willing to support the music in the state,” Michael said, praising the genre’s fan base.
“We were blown away by how enthusiastic and in love with the vibe people were when we hosted Pendulum at Gluttony in March. We wanted to create something even bigger by securing Luude on the lineup and adding a second stage.”

“I think it’s important, especially at the moment, to provide an authentic experience. Everyone behind this event is excited to welcome ‘El Hornet’ (Pendulum) to the stage alongside a bunch of our favourite up-and-coming and experienced Adelaide DJs. Our Sound is a tribute to drum and bass; it is our culture, our music, our vibe, and our sound.”
Our Sound will take place over the first weekend of summer, a date traditionally held by the beloved Stereosonic over a decade prior that Groove Events state is by “no coincidence”, paying homage to the late and great EDM festival.
With all sorts of breakcore, jungle, and other pulsating soundscapes, North-West Adelaide’s Bonython Park promises to deliver a day of DnB like no other. Pre-sale sign-up is available now via the Groove Events website.
