The tour marks Lake Street Dive’s first time in Australia in eight years.
Lake Street Dive (Shervin Lainez)
Brooklyn-based band Lake Street Dive is set to return to Australia in March 2025, marking their first visit in eight years.
Known for their kaleidoscopic combination of folk, soul, jazz, and pop, Lake Street Dive are taking their latest body of work, Good Together, for its first live spin in Australia after its release in June.
The band said of their return, "It’s been too long, Australia— eight years, to be exact— since we played your glorious country/continent combo! But as Men At Work said, “you better run, you better take cover,” because we’re coming back!”
The last time the five-piece touched down on Australian soil was in 2017, when they played a string of holiday festivals, including Woodford Folk Festival, Soul Street NYE, and Summer of Soul. Since then, the band has released three albums, weaving more funk and synth influences into their sound.
The tour will kick off with a bang as the band plays the Live at the Gardens bill in Melbourne on Saturday, March 15. This will then be followed by stints at prominent venues such as Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Tuesday, March 18th, The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on March 19th, and Metropolis in Fremantle on Friday, March 21st.
A pre-sale for Frontier Members will begin on Tuesday, October 29, at 1 PM, running for 48 hours or until allocation is exhausted. Those not on the pre-sale list can sign up to be a Frontier Member here.
