'Game On Mole': New Aussie Trivia Podcast Draws In Ball Park Music, Cub Sport & More

Not On Your Rider quizmaster Aimon Clark has launched Brisbane’s first-ever comedy game podcast, Game On Mole, starring Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson and Sellma Soul on hosting duties.

The latest episode of Game On Mole has featured Dinosaurs singer Ruby Fields alongside Hockey Dad’s Billy Fleming and Zach Stephenson. 

Fields provided an uncanny, wild impersonation of Sharon Osbourne, while the Hockey Dad members recalled their first time meeting The Dandy Warhols. Meanwhile, Dicko told a thrilling tale about the one and only Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead fame.

Previous episodes have hosted guest stars Osher Gunsberg (OG Australian Idol host, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette), comedian and former The Great Australian Bake Off host Claire Hooper, actor Steven Oliver and members of The Jungle Giants, Ball Park Music and Cub Sport and more.

Each episode of Game On Mole contains five rounds of trivia between guest stars and the hosts, with two teams facing off, unaware that one member of one group has been assigned the role of the titular “mole”. The mole’s job is to stop the opposing team from winning without being detected. It can (and often does) get spicy.

Last year, Clark recalled some of his favourite moments from Not On Your Rider, including a story about his new co-host, Dicko. 

He wrote for The Music, “On a show in 2021, beloved Australian Idol judge and fixture of reality television Dicko was mocked by a fellow panellist for not having a catchphrase as good as Mark Holden’s ‘Touchdown’. Dicko told us he regretted not coming up with it himself and wanted to reclaim it for his own, and brought the crowd to a frenzy with his own version.”

Earlier this year, Dicko starred in the new season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and told some stories about the good old days, including about the first Australian Idol winner, Guy Sebastian, and the aftermath of his regrettable comments to Paulini after she performed a rendition of Destiny’s Child’s Survivor on the show.

Dicko said, “We went out and took him for a bowl of pasta, and after the lunch, we handed him an envelope. He said, ‘What’s this?’ We said it’s your first royalty cheque for all the records you’ve sold. And he took out the cheque, and it said: ‘Guy Sebastian, one million dollars.’”
