Frank Ocean is releasing a book featuring his photography. Available to order now for $131 AUD, Mutations is described as “a retrospective of artwork from October 19 to December 22, 2022.”

Mutations arrives after Ocean’s controversial Coachella set back in April. Just hours before he was set to hit the stage on weekend one of the major music festival in Indio, California, a PA announcement stated that Ocean's performance would no longer be live-streamed and no merch relating to the star would be available.
The issues then continued when Ocean took to the stage over an hour late with no apology. He kicked off the performance with Novocaine, Come On World, You Can’t Go!, Crack Rock, Bad Religion, and White Ferrari, before giving a touching speech about attending the festival with his late brother, Ryan Breaux, who died in a car crash in 2020.
Throughout the performance, fans noted his disinterested behaviour, with some reporting that he hid behind a screen for part of the performance.
After covering Aaliyah’s At Your Best (You Are Love), Ocean abruptly told the crowd at 12:20 am that the festival had hit its curfew limit and he would need to end his set - despite Coachella's curfew time being 1 am.

Frank Ocean then pulled out of Coachella weekend two and was replaced by the surprise addition to the weekend one schedule, blink-182.
A representative for Ocean said in a statement to Variety: “Frank Ocean will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella.
“After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1. Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity.
“On doctor’s advice, [Ocean] is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.”
In March, a verified Spotify artist named Blondead appeared on the streaming platform, with many Ocean fans hoping it was the enigmatic singer posting under an alias.
Something like that wasn't totally outside the realm of possibility - it was just last September that fans suspected that Ocean would release an album after he cleared his socials.
