Enter Shikari Release Electrifying New Single, 'Bloodshot'

Enter Shikari have unveiled Bloodshot, the latest single from their upcoming seventh album, A Kiss For The Whole World. 

Like all albums by the UK outfit, the new record is shaping up to be musically diverse and packed with surprises. 

Bloodshot is a great alt-rock number with massive melodies and poses big questions.

“Every day, I seem to be asking myself “Is this article biased?”, “is this claim true?”, “Should I be more furious about this issue? Or less furious?”, “Am I being manipulated? Provoked? Radicalised by my own ‘tribe’?,” vocalist Rou Reynolds said in a statement.

He continued, “Bloodshot is about how hard it is to find truth, and how easy it is to stop thinking for yourself and simply repeat your ‘team’s’ mantras.

“Everyone’s so fucking angry with everyone else and it’s exhausting. It seems like social media’s main purpose these days is to hypnotise us to hate.” Check out the single below.

Enter Shikari announced the new album in January, with a release date slated for 21 April. 

Reynolds has commented on the first single, (pls) set me on fire, "Honestly, I thought I was fucked. I’ve never felt so detached from my soul, my purpose, my fucking spirit. I didn’t write music for almost two years. The longest I’d gone before that was two weeks. I was broken. 

"It’s almost as if my brain had asked: 'What is the point in music if it cannot be shared? What is the point in writing music if it’s not to be experienced with others?' and then promptly switched itself off. (pls) set me on fire grew out of that desperation. This song is a projectile vomit of positive energy. Every emotion trapped inside me for two years, finally set free."

The album, meanwhile, was recorded in a farmhouse that only used solar power in a move that Reynolds calls "back to basics."
