Some serious talent.
A celebration of all things folk, roots and blues, Blue Mountains Music Festival has enlisted some serious talent for its first 2019 line-up announcement, with Katie Noonan, Spiderbait’s Kram and more featuring on the bill.
The 24th annual event will return to Katoomba from 15 – 17 March, with seven stages hosting a slew of local and international talent.
Legendary cartoonist Michael Leunig will join Noonan, while Kram is one-third of The Others, a trio also composed of jazz maestros James Morrison and Paul Grabowsky.
The international talent comes in the form of folk legend Ralph McTell, “boogie-woogie king” Ben Waters, British singer-songwriter Z-Star Delta, art rockers the Moulettes, soul artist Rory McLeod, Irish rockers Wallis Bird & The Daoiri Farrell Trio featuring Luka Blum and Tomato Tomato, Melisande, Les Chauffeurs à Pied, Basia Bulat, Front Country, The Naked Waiters, Afenginn and Topp Twins.
Also gracing the first artist announcement is Melbourne folk-pop five-piece Perch Creek, acclaimed duo Vika and Linda Bull, guitar legends The Grigoryan Bros featuring Adam Page, and Marcia Howard Trio, The Northern Folk, Coconut Kids and 19-Twenty.
