The celebrated electro veteran has two shows lined up this June
Electronic music icon Armin Van Buuren has unveiled the first batch of dates for his upcoming world tour, Armin Only Embrace and local fans are in for a treat, as the celebrated DJ has allocated two shows among his global run to sate Aussie appetites this June.
The veteran performer will kick off his whirlwind Australian visit with a show at Melbourne's Hisense Arena on Friday 10 June, heading up to Sydney a couple of days later to play the showgrounds' Exhibition Halls on Sunday 12 June.
Van Buuren comes to us with the Armin Only Embrace run in medias res, with the plan being to kick off with two premiere performances in Amsterdam this May before hitting Poland and the United Arab Emirates on the way to Australia — but this is far from the man's first rodeo, and it shows in hearing him talk about his plans, or lack thereof, for the visit:
"DJing is all about looking at the crowd and then deciding where to go with your set," Van Buuren said in a statement. "My set is not pre-programmed. You book Armin Van Buuren, you know the sound that I'm bringing. But I always like to have a few surprises. I can't play the exact same set twice, I can't!"

Van Buuren will continue on from Australia to shows in Spain, Bulgaria, Belarus and Mexico, with additional global dates to be added in the near future.
Tickets for both of Armin Van Buuren's local shows go on sale from 10am local time on Thursday 17 March, via Ticketek (Melbourne) and Moshtix (Sydney).
