Great news for Australian Anberlin fans: the emo/alt-rockers have announced a January 2024 Australian tour with special guests Hawthorne Heights and The Word Alive.
This run is particularly noteworthy for another reason – not only is it Anberlin’s first Australian tour since 2019, but it marks the final tour down under for vocalist Stephen Christian, who’s recently announced a hiatus from touring, with Matty Mullins (Memphis May Fire) taking the reins as the band’s touring vocalist in 2024.

Christian will remain in the studio with the band, making more musical magic, but this will be the last time Aussie fans will see the beloved singer perform the songs they know and love.
Anberlin’s upcoming tour follows two recent EP releases, 2022’s Silverline and Convinced, released earlier this year.
The concerts – marked as Stephen’s final Australian tour – begin on Sunday, 21 January, at Perth’s Astor Theatre, then head to Adelaide’s The Gov (23 January), Sydney’s Enmore Theatre (25 January), Brisbane’s The Tivoli (26 January), and ends at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Sunday, 28 January.
“There is not a country outside the United States that Anberlin is more connected to or embraced as much as Australia, and this will be our 12th trip to this incredible country,” Stephen Christian commented in a press release.
“From our first show in Adelaide, to then writing a song about it, and years later having a 9-year-old girl named Adelaide come on stage and sing that very song with us to a massive sold-out show in Sydney, we have SO many core memories created on that soil.
“It is absolutely fitting that I am taking a final bow in Australia before taking a long hiatus from touring. I appreciate you Australia and can't wait to sing along one final time.”
