Millennial pop-punk fans, rejoice: All Time Low and Avril Lavigne have teamed up for a new collaborative track called Fake As Hell.

Since their When We Were Young festival duet of blink-182’s All The Small Things last October, fans have likely been waiting for the band and Sk8er Boi singer to work together in the studio. We’re happy to share that the collab doesn’t let us down.

Opening with some acoustic power chords, Fake As Hell becomes a three-minute pop-punk anthem about “recognising what’s real and saying goodbye to what’s not,” All Time Low vocalist Alex Gaskarth revealed in a statement.

He continued, “It’s about cutting ties with people and things that don’t lift you up and help you progress. It’s a wave goodbye to whatever’s in the rear-view mirror and a new perspective on the road ahead. Collaborating on this one with Avril is a dream realised, and getting to watch her do what she does best in the studio was crazy inspiring.”

In February 2022, All Time Low filed a libel lawsuit against three anonymous women who made allegations of sex abuse against guitarist Jack Barakat. In the suit, the Weightless pop-punk band said they wanted to use the court's powers to subpoena and unmask accusers.

The band claimed they were “the victims of defamatory social media posts falsely and maliciously accusing them of sexual abuse and knowingly enabling such illegal conduct”.

This November, All Time Low will tour Australia with special guests Mayday Parade and Lauren Hibberd. Tickets are on sale now via Destroy All Lines – you can find all the tour dates below.
