A Wilhelm Scream will tour Australia in March 2023; it will be their first visit down under since 2016. The shows begin in Melbourne before jetting off to Hobart, Adelaide, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, and Wollongong.
The melodic hardcore band formed in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in 2003. The Career Suicide group released their first album in nine years in April. Lose Your Delusion is their seventh record (fifth under the A Wilhelm Scream name) and the first to feature ex-Senses Fail guitarist Jason Milbank.
Australian fans are particularly devoted to A Wilhelm Scream - as of 2022, Sydney holds the #1 spot for streaming the band, while Australia is amongst the top three countries worldwide.
Blood, Sweat & Beers have teamed up with Evil Eye Touring to bring A Wilhelm Scream to Australia. Knife Hands will support the band at all shows.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, 16 December, at 10 am local time via Evil Eye Touring.
We reviewed their 2013 album, Partycrashers, and at the time, dubbed it the band's finest album yet. "From the exceptionally catchy hooks and choruses on tracks like Devil Don't Know and Number One to the blistering solos and incredible riffs found peppered everywhere else, this album is near-impossible to fault.

"What A Wilhelm Scream do well, they do really, really well. And what they do is write gloriously kick-ass songs, fusing impeccable melodies with speed and energy that absolutely destroys. Quite possibly their best album yet, Partycrasher will be one of the wisest investments you're likely to make, period."
We also interviewed vocalist Nuno Pereira in the lead-up to the album's release, who told us, "in Australia, all of our shows have always been really well received."
He added, "Europe is good; I mean from city to city and town to town, depending on the number of football matches on or what day of the week it is, you can have a swing of 200 kids one way or the other. I feel like over the years; we’ve always been really well received; whether it’s a small crowd going batshit crazy, or a bigger crowd checking us out for the first time, we’re always going to put on the same show, which is to say the best show we can put on.
"And I think that translates well, and I think the audiences really kind of let us know whether or not we’re doing a good job. So far, so good; I haven’t had any rotten vegetables thrown at me yet. Just a few insults."
