The Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) have partnered for an event which aims to showcase all the talent coming out of Korea, with the VMDO Links: Korea Spotlight taking place in Melbourne.
The event is effectively a two-night affair, which launches on Tuesday, April 15th with the panel and MU:CON Mixer taking place at Collingwood Yards.
Moderated by Jocelle Koh (founder of media platform Asian Pop Weekly and Asia’s first women’s music collective, fluffle), she will be joined by Vice President of A&R for Concord Music Publishing ANZ Matt Tanner; the co-founder of KYTE and the Festival Director of the Busan International Rock Festival, Howon Lee; and Haein Kim, who works with ALPS as the DMZ Peace Train Music Festival Marketing Director.
In addition to the panel portion, the Korea Spotlight aims to build meaningful exchange between the Victorian music industry, East Asia and Southeast Asia, and connecting individuals from within those markets.
The panel will also be followed by a Q&A and an opportunity to meet the KOCCA team and other delegates visiting from Korea.
The following night, registered guests to VMDO Links will also receive free access to the Korean Spotlight Showcase, which takes place at 170 Russell on Wednesday, April 16th, and features a lineup of impressive Korean artists.
