Australia has officially entered Brat summer, with Charli XCX officially scoring her first-ever Australian #1 single.
While the British singer starred on the Iggy Azalea hit, Fancy, delivering the chorus – that song got to #1 on the Australian Urban Chart and #5 on the Australian Singles Chart – it’s the first time that Charli has gotten to #1 in Australia as the primary vocalist and songwriter.
The song that’s taken her to #1? Guess, which originally featured on the deluxe edition of her album Brat And It’s The Same But There’s Three More Songs So It’s Not, but the version featuring a cheeky verse from Billie Eilish.
As well as getting to #1 in Australia, Guess with Billie Eilish has topped the charts in the UK, Ireland, Lithuania and New Zealand.
Guess, featuring Billie Eilish, was released on 1 August. It received a music video in which 10,000 pairs of underwear (referencing the song’s lyrics, “You wanna guess the colour of my underwear”) were donated to the charity organisation I Support The Girls. The charity collects and distributes essential items for those in need, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products.

The music video depicts Charli dancing at a steamy house party before Eilish hops on the bandwagon—or, rather, a tractor, which crashes through the wall.
The pair make their way through an almost post-apocalyptic scene, with panties strewn everywhere, before climbing up a mountain of undergarments and lying down. You can check out the music video below.
In addition to Guess being #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, Brat currently sits at #7 on the ARIA Albums Chart and has featured in the Top 10 for the last eight weeks since its release.
Next month, Charli XCX will embark on the Sweat tour of the US with Troye Sivan.
Charli XCX recently made headlines after she took a stand against her fans, making it clear that she won’t allow them to abuse other singers in the industry, following verbal attacks against Taylor Swift at various Brat listening parties.
