Melbourne-based alternative rock band Belle Haven have announced a new milestone in their already-impressive career by way of a signing with Open Door Management.
News of their nascent signing comes just days ahead of the release of their aptly-titled EP, something new, and follows on from an incendiary showcase at BIGSOUND earlier this month. The pairing with Open Door Management sees Belle Haven joining an impressive roster that already includes Northlane, Make Them Suffer, Void Of Vision, and others.
“We were lucky enough to catch Belle Haven’s set at Brisbane’s BIGSOUND this year,” said the Open Door Management team. “The band took the stage, and it was clear that these guys had been crafted by years on the road. They were not only a tight live band, but they controlled the room and really made The Brightside theirs for 30 minutes.
“In the beer garden, we talked about the future and how the band have found their groove with the new sound,” they added. “Way before that conversation was over, it was obvious that Belle Haven was a perfect fit for the Open Door family, it just felt natural.
“David, Daniel and Corey have a strong vision for what Belle Haven will become over the coming years, and we’re ecstatic to be helping them do just that.”
"We’ve admired Open Door Management and their exceptional roster of talent from the beginning,” said Belle Haven of the signing. “Joining forces with them now feels like everything has come full circle. From the first conversation, it was very clear we share a vision for Belle Haven’s future."

Belle Haven were first formed in 2010, with its members sharing a love of pop-punk bands such as Paramore, The Maine, and others. Alongside a string of singles, the group – which comprises David De La Hoz, Daniel Marinakis, and Corey Cichowski – have issued two albums, and supported a long list of local and international names, including Comeback Kid, I Prevail, We The Kings, RedHook, and more.
The band will punctuate their signing by releasing their new four-track EP, something new, on October 4th.
“something new isn't about one specific theme or story—it's a mix of the emotions we've been going through as a band,” De La Hoz says of the new EP. “We explore love, sex, heartbreak, bad habits (and breaking them), choosing yourself, and even death. It covers a lot because that's just how life happens sometimes.
“We didn't plan to cover all these themes—it just naturally unfolded that way. In a way, we're still figuring out what Belle Haven is, learning by doing. This EP is part of that journey."
Belle Haven will also support their new EP with a special release day show at The Bendigo Hotel in Collingwood. Tickets are available on the door, or available free via pre-orders of the EP.
