After a six-year wait Peaches doesn't disappoint with her new single and its video, Light In Places..
It’s been six years since we’ve heard from Canadian electropunk Peaches, but now the wait is over. After announcing her next album releasing this September, Peaches dropped her first single of the year, Light In Places, accompanied with a self-directed music video and once again reminding fans of her progressive talent and punchy electronic sounds.
The track layers monotone synths, bass-heavy beats and Peaches’ raw vocals that simultaneously inspires both retro and futuristic sounds. While the video experiments with strobing lights, encompassing darkness and the human body. Featuring an acrobatic show from renowned aerial artist Empress Stah, the clip is edgy and in your face, just as we expect from Peaches, while complemented by her classic, powerful, seductive sound. Light In Places is a killer teaser to her sixth studio album, expected to be a more adventurous, more personal record, and we can’t wait.
