"It’s harder but so much more rewarding to keep believing in things rather than dwelling on the hurt and hardship."
The latest music video from Melbourne artist Gretta Ziller is uplifting, fun and captures the essence of the song it’s set to perfectly.
Shot at Westgarth Palais Cinemas in Northcote with director Arlo Dean Cook and Ziller’s live band, the clip for Unlikely Believer, premiering today via The Music, features a mix of stock and personal footage, including her dad rolling hay down a hill.
"I wrote Unlikely Believer to remind myself that although I've been through a lot in life, that it’s harder but so much more rewarding to keep believing in things rather than dwelling on the hurt and hardship,” Ziller told The Music.
“Arlo and I sought to portray that in the clip."
The song itself follows a signing with ABC Music and acts as a follow-up to acclaimed track Second Hand.
