10 Best Veronicas Songs Ranked

The Veronicas are one of Australia's most successful ever pop acts, with twins Lisa and Jessica Origliasso bursting out of Brisbane to take over the world. We take a look back on their top ten tunes. 

10. This Love (2008)

From the album that cracked them in the states, Hook Me Up, This Love was the record's third single. It peaked at #10 in the ARIA Chart and went gold, despite it not being the album's best tune, but there was still more to come from the powerhouse album. 

9. When It All Falls Apart (2006)

This banger was the third single from the sisters' debut album The Secret Life Of The Veronicas, showing the strength of the record. Most artists would kill for a single this strong to lead with, but as the Veronicas train kept rolling, this was just the next in a long line of hits. The single peaked at #7 in both Australia and New Zealand.

8. In My Blood

In 2016, The Veronicas had grown up and re-emerged after a bit of a hiatus with In My Blood which led their Godzilla album. The album didn't set the world on fire, but this banger went twice platinum, becoming one of their biggest ever hits in Australia. Remembered fondly by industry as the opening performance from the ARIA Awards that year (complete with a take two) which also saw the sisters hosting the event. 

7. If You Love Someone (2014)

Back to 2014 now and the second single from their self-titled album. This one was another platinum success for the band who had spent a bunch of time over the previous few years writing for other artists. Proving the first single from the album wasn't a fluke (more on that soon), this one brought the party back after a rather serious comeback. 

6. Everything I'm Not (2005)

Just their second-ever single, Everything I'm Not proved that The Veronicas were no one-trick pony. The song peaked at #7 on the ARIA charts and pushed the album back into the charts as fans realised there was more to the band than just their debut. 

5. Take Me On The Floor (2008)

Nothing like a risque double entendre to get attention and it helped that this was one of the biggest floor-fillers the band ever wrote. Despite being the fourth single in Australia from the Hook Me Up album, it was one of the massive hit, peaking at #7 and becoming the second of two singles to chart in the US.

4. You Ruin Me (2014)

After exiting their deal with Warner, The Veronicas re-emerged in 2014, this time partnering with Sony Music Australia. They came out swinging with a mega ballad You Ruin Me and had the biggest selling song of their career at home, with the song ticking over triple platinum. With strings, ballerinas and a powerhouse vocal performance, nothing was left on the table with The Veronicas proving that they were definitely not done yet. 

3. Hook Me Up (2007)

Their first #1 here in Australia, Hook Me Up was a massive start for the album of the same name, with its schoolgirl video clip and decidedly more advanced production throwing away any notion of a "difficult second album". The song was one of their biggest in Australia, but it was only an entree for what was still to come from the album. 

2. 4Eva (2005)

When your career is two decades long and your debut single is still good enough to hit #2 on the list, you know it was a strong start for The Veronicas. 4Eva is the song that defines high school for a generation of Aussies (who WASN'T spinning this on the way to Schoolies?) and is the kind of pop-rock crossover that would have made Avril Lavigne jealous. Straight out of the blocks the sisters hit the UK top 20, German top 30 and only JUST missed the top spot here at home, peaking at #2.

1. Untouched (2007)

Untouched was The Veronicas at their untouchable peak. The song that exploded them in the US, this will forever be the song that is synonymous with the hitmakers. Platinum both here and in the states, top ten in the UK and a massive #5 in Canada, this second single from the Hook Me Up album put The Veronicas in the Australian music history books, taking them from shopping centre performances to arenas. 

Cue the arguments about whether Untouched really is better than 4Eva.....
