Music videos can often be an artistic extension of the song itself, with many visual accompaniments becoming just as, if not more iconic than the song it was created for. Here are our favourites this week, including a stunning First Nations flip of Childish Gambino's This Is America, as well as clips for some of the best new tunes this week.

Marrugeku & Beni Bjah - This Is Australia

First Nations dance company Marrugeku teams up with Noongar MC Beni Bjah for a confronting flip of This Is America's song and video combo, detailing Australia's colonial violence and ongoing systemic racism that First Nations peoples continue to endure.

Arlo Parks - Weightless

The Mercury Prize winning artist announces her sophomore album My Soft Machine with her new single of addictive hip-hop infused pop Weightless, featuring a cinematic music video set in the streets of London.

Huntly - My Limits

The colourful, ocean themed video for Naarm/Melbourne duo Huntly's new single of slow burning pop abstractions feels like a trippy take on early 2000s CGI children's shows or a high res Sega Dreamcast game, based around a coral reef and featuring some extremely cute turtle protagonists.

Lisel - Immature

More delightful experimental pop with an entrancing video this week, this time from L.A. boundary pusher Eliza Bagg under her Lisel alias, with the vocal-led alien pop of Immature featuring a captivating video shot in a warehouse and featuring a range of juxtaposing colours and activities, including some health goth treadmill action.

Mandy Indiana - Injury Detail

Distorted, dystopian vaporwave aesthetics are the order of the day on this thumping new single of industrial and EBM influenced sounds from the English group.

Sleaford Mods - UK GRIM

Our favourite pair of political dance punks don't disappoint on new single (and title track of their forthcoming twelfth studio album), with a Monty Python's Flying Circus-esque collage video that sees hilarious imagery match the equally humourous lyrics of Jason Williamson.

Truth Club - It's Time

Back with their first new music in three years, North Carolina's Truth Club dropped not only one of the best singles this week with the post-punk meets art-rock sounds of It's Time, but also one of the funnest music videos. Featuring cell shaded graphics, the clip begins with our protagonist waking up at home before making their way into a late-90s Role-playing game dungeon, with hijinx and adventure ensuing.

Yaeji - For Granted

We've been waiting for an album from Korean-American genre-fusing producer and vocalist Yaeji for a while now, and with the first taste of For Granted, we're even more excited. A slow-building affair across its 3 minutes, For Granted builds from a bouncy cut into a full blown Squarepusher style breakcore freak out, with a super fun music video that sees Yaeji build a diorama of her own room, featuring stop motion and plenty of chaos.
