I like to blow a bit of harp; that’s where I started back in my schoolboy band.
This whole E.P. is influenced by my fave classic blues people, John Lee Hooker, Lightning Slim, etc.
If you’re not getting enough lovin’, the classic blues complaint these days, it’s more than likely caused by the disconnect of social media. A hug, a kiss, sorry I’m down the rabbit hole, no time. She could be he or they; insert where applicable.
This is a co-write with Aaron Schembri during lockdown - his music, my lyrics.

A collage of images from that period and a wry look at our probable dystopian future. But no matter what, we have to keep on playing and singing. That in itself is reason enough to continue in these unbalanced times.
Channelling John Lee Hooker, this one has grooves, and I’m having a laugh at myself.
“You wrap me round your little finger / And tell me, I’m your favourite singer / And then you put me through the wringer till I bleed“.
Yes, I’m a fool for your lovin’; I just can’t help myself. It’s about no woman in particular, but all the women I’ve loved and laughed with are in there somewhere.
Looking through family photos of mothers, wives, aunts, grandmas, sisters and cousins standing in the backyard, on the porch, wearing floral dresses, that’s an enduring image I have of Australian womanhood that inspired this song. The protagonist is an irresponsible loser. It’s a common tale, and this song will be around for quite a while (Co-written with 8 Ball Aitken).
She’s Stuck On Facebook All The Time is out now.
Today, Ross Wilson begins his expansive Now Listen! We’re Steppin’ Out! Australian tour with his all-star band, The Peaceniks. You can find all the tour dates below and purchase tickets via Ross Wilson’s website.
