Less than a year on from their Rapscallion LP, prolific & boundary pushing garage rockers The Murlocs are back with a unique take on modern country rock in the form of album number seven, Calm Ya Farm.

Examining the chaotic nature of life in the digital age, the album’s title came from the eponymous phrase often used by lead vocalist Ambrose Kenny-Smith’s partner, and acts as both a nod to the record’s pastoral sounds as well as a mantra for the anxieties of everyday life.

Recorded in their home studios, Calm Ya Farm sees the group’s signature brand of garage rock fuse beautifully with country influences, full of big guitar riffs paired with calmer, atmospheric melodies and contemplative passages, resulting in a great tonal balance.
