Back home in Boorloo, the rapper-producer seeks joy as he unveils his first solo track since 2019..
Boorloo (Perth) based Zimbabwe-born rapper-producer Arno Faraji is back with his first solo release since 2019, a bouncy, vivacious funk-flecked track titled On The Move that combines funk, rap, and pop elements in a distinctive Arno way. Having relocated from Naarm (Melbourne) back to his home on the west coast prior to the pandemic, the new release introduces a new series of music for the 2017 triple j Unearthed High winner, a series dedicated to actively seeking out joy.
With a feel-good focus and vibe-curated ambience inspired by SoundCloud and party rap inspirations, On The Move sports bold basslines and intricate beats that lay a foundation for quick-witted and free-flowing rhymes to flourish. On the release, Arno shares it’s about “finding a balance between being in a grind mindset while still enjoying all the little moments that make up the 'process'.”
Teasing more material to come along the vein of “channelling the energy within you and focusing it on wherever you need it in your life”, we can't wait to see what 2022 holds for Arno Faraji - but for now, be sure to give On The Move a listen below.
