Local MC drops his second single of the year, brings the heat on new cut of UK Garage meets hip hop.
After breaking a two year silence with On The Move eariler this year, we haven’t had to wait too long to be blessed with new sounds from Boorloo/Perth based rapper and producer Arno Faraji, in the form of new single Gravity out today.
Continuing his penchant for spitting bars over productions that lean more towards the dance floor than your classic trap or boom bap style hip-hop beats, Gravity further showcases Faraji’s range as an MC, effortlessly flowing over a deep, soulful UK Garage beat, resulting in an uplifting and addictive listen from start to finish.
On Gravity, Faraji says "I feel like we’re always tryna chase moments and sometimes forget to just be in them and enjoy them for what they are even when they’re right in front of us, that’s for me at least.
I was in this space where I’d be in a good zone and resonating well but also finding ways to sabotage myself by thinking of when the moment would change or trying to prepare for the next unpredictable thing. It was like a coping mechanism for what could come. It’s good to know ‘things change’ but to change in anticipation of what hasn’t happened yet had me cutting my experiences and bliss down."
