Antiskeptic: Four Or Less.

Antiskeptic play the Waterloo Hotel on Friday, The Temple, Surfers Paradise on Saturday, the Lions Den Café Sunday afternoon and the Sands Tavern Maroochydore Sunday night. Sour Seasons is in stores now.

'There's been so much stuff happening,” an excited Nick of Antiskeptic informs me. “We're coming up to promote our new single Four Seasons and the tour's sponsored by JJJ and Fly TV so we're pretty much going everywhere. Brisbane's one of our favourite places to play it's just a really beautiful looking city and all the people are just rad and show us a good time.”

Speaking of a good time, Antiskeptic recently played the M-One extravaganza at ANZ Stadium in Brisbane.

“We went into it not knowing what to expect but it seemed like everyone got into us and we've had a lot of good feedback, won a few new fans. Backstage we had Shirley Manson from Garbage try to pash Andrew, I was hanging out doing dick tricks with the 'Puppetry Of The Penis' guys and I gave Billy Idol a wedgie.”

Becoming as popular as they are Antiskeptic have been copping some flack on the Internet from people in forums over their personal beliefs. One person going as far as to say he wants them to sign his bible!

“I just saw that before. I think it's a bit rude. I don't let it get to me. Living in the public eye it's gotten a bit weird especially for us being Christians. I'd rather people just judge us on our music. It's just a shame people are like that. It's not going to change our point of view or let it get us down. Being a Christian is a part of who we are, I guess stuff like that just comes with the territory.”

The new single Four Seasons is actually an older song from one of their first ever demos.

“We just thought it was a great song. It was chosen by the label and our publicist. Which we're all happy with, it's kind of a mellower rocky song. I'm really glad it's representing us 'cause it really shows where we're at. The single also has a live recording we did at JJJ on the Oz music show and a really fast punky pop song called A.F.S, which was just a throw away song we did on our first demo. It'll be interesting to see how it all goes.”

The future for Antiskeptic looks bright with another single and festival appearance scheduled for the end of the year.

“I'm stoked to be on the Homebake festival as a lot of the bands that are on it I grew up listening to and I'm heavily into the Australian music scene.”
