LA producer Shlohmo gives us the chilling visual accompaniment to new track Buried.. Shlohmo, AKA Henry Laufer, continues to take his work to scary new levels. A few weeks ago, the LA-native released Buried, a grim and obscure track off his forthcoming album Dark Red. Read about the track HERE. With the new season of The Walking Dead out this week and zombie fever back in fashion, Laufer couldn't have picked a more appropriate time to boost the hype for Dark Red, revealing his equally disturbing music video for Buried this week. Directed by LA-based filmmaker Lance Drake, the demonic video gives visual substance to Buried: we watch a distraught soon-to-be-mother dragging herself through the gritty streets of LA, consumed by pain, dripping in blood, cross-sectioned with visuals of a hypercolour birth canal. It's like some surreal, bloody nightmare - closely resembling a retro horror flick - and is not for the faint-hearted. Watch below. Dark Red is set for an April 7 release. FAC
Found-sound producer Kodak To Graph gives us the first sounds from his debut album.. Florida producer Kodak to Graph aka Michael Maleki, has been getting busy lately. The 23-year-old, who recently announced his massive Break The Ice tour of the US alongside producer buddies Big Wild and OBESON, has just released a new single, Los Angeles. Kodak to Graph found success in 2014 through his consistent release of remixes, such as his remix of Doja Cat’s So High. The texture-heavy track makes great use of found sound, along with some neat vocal samples and percussive elements. Maleki, who moved to LA during the writing of his new album, told FADER recently that the new single is a “collision of the still and quiet of Florida and the noise and static of downtown LA”. Los Angeles is the first taste of Maleki’s upcoming debut album ISA, which has been set a release date of March 10th. You can listen to the track below, along with the Doja Cat remix.
