One of Australia's best fingerpicking guitar-playing heroes has done what all good artists eventually do: he has gone and released a Christmas album.

Far from the cheesy Mariah Carey vocals of yore, it's actually a surprisingly listenable and soothing record to soundtrack your festivities. Covering the classics like Jingle Bell Rock, Let It Snow and Winter Wonderland, the album features vocals by Annie Sellick and Tommy Emmanuel himself. Standouts are original tracks Christmas Time and Let's Make A Christmas Memory, with their catchy melodies and impressive guitar riffs making instant classics. The album is a fun, lighthearted exploration of Christmas, Emmanuel's impressive skills showing themselves off perfectly.
