"The show takes the format of a bedtime story read-along, complete with a recorded sound so people know when to turn the page."
Tommy Dassalo is a fast-talking, likeable, late 20-something-year-old guy from Melbourne who makes fun of his chubbiness and balding head, talks openly about sex a lot and doesn't have much luck with women.
Each audience member is given an illustrated book (the impressive drawings are done by Dassalo himself) and the show takes the format of a bedtime story read-along, complete with a recorded sound so people know when to turn the page (think loud siren rather than cutesy chimes). The story tells the tale of how Dassalo met his former girlfriend, their love story and their ultimate break-up. There's some unique audience interaction and the illustrations alone are hilarious. Dassalo's show is clever and he's certainly one to keep an eye on.
