Album Review: SOPHIE - Product

After a string of wonderfully experimental pop singles, most of which are included here, SOPHIE finally drops his debut LP, Product.

Each song here features high-pitched, modulated vocals and footwork-inspired, hyperactive electronic backing, yet they all manage to sound truly distinctive of one another, and nearly all music released this year. Despite the unassuming name and packaging, this is one of the finest left-of-field pop releases of the year; hyperactive, so cute it's sickening and utterly unique in the landscape of 2015, this is an essential release for anyone passionate about pop's future.
